Luma Weather App

App concept design for a combined mood-tracker and weather app.

Composed of Figma Prototype, AfterEffects animations, and a printed process book.

Focused on brand-building and training in UX Design

Design Goals

Luma is an app designed for individuals who experience mood changes and possibly seasonal depression based on the weather. To make the design appealing to consumers, it should have an warm, calming design using neutral colors and soft imagery.

Challenges

The design should mimic a fully-functional app, including screens, a walk-through, and animations of the app.

Process

To design Luma, I started with creating a background for the app concept along with sketches. Then, I created screens in Figma, along with a functioning app walk-through. Then, I took some of the screens into Adobe AfterEffects to create User Interaction animations. To end the project, I took screens and put them into Adobe InDesign to create a book complete with descriptions of each screen.
